Evolutionary biology: in silico studies on the diversity (gene regulatory / haplotype network, AMOVA, phylogenetic, proteomics etc) of few selected behavioral gene and gene products coding for behavior of honey bees and other related social organisms. Protein modeling: homology modeling, ab initio prediction, molecular dynamics simulations, drug-protein interaction.
Biography
Brief summary of PhD. Thesis: Mycorrhizal dependency (MD) of selected tropical tree species were determined at established soil solution P levels. Further, relationship between root morphological characters of above tree species and MD as well as interaction of soil solution P and mycorrhizal infection units (MIU) and its influence on MD of above tree species were determined. Regression models were also developed to determine the relationship between (i) root morphological characters and MD, (ii) total biomass, total P uptake, MD and soil solution P as well as MIU levels.
